Double click Remote Networking.

Next, double click Make New connection.

For the name, type in the name of your ISP.
Click the box for Dial-Up Connection. Click
next.

Select the modem you will be using(make
sure this is actually hooked up to your
machine.).

Type in the local dialup number for Internet
Services Provider.

Click Configure for the screen below. Make
sure your connection preferences are okay
for your modem(if you don't know, leave
it as it is). Click OK.
9.
Click TCP/IP Settings and set it up as the
picture below. Click OK, and then Finish.
10.
We are now ready to test the connection.
Double click the Icon w/ the name of your
ISP.
11.
Fill in the username and password. Click
save password if wanted. Press Connect.
12.
You should be connected and see the following
screen.

Now you can open your browser or use your
email program!
